Costumes

The costumers have been working very hard to get costumes ready and to have everyone looking their best. No one is to leave after rehearsals or the shows until costumes are put away. This means folding or hanging up costumes and putting all of your things neatly into your bin. This is your responsibility, not a parents or volunteer.  After the last show, there will be a bag or box to put any costume pieces that do not belong to you in.

Food and Water

THERE IS NO EATING OR DRINKING OF ANYTHING OTHER THEN WATER WHILE IN COSTUME!! This goes for everyone. The show is not too long, you will survive, I promise. Eat before you get to the high school and bring bottled water with you to have in the dressing room.

Hair and Makeup

Hair and makeup are a very important part of costumes. The way you do your hair and makeup should reflect on your character. Please DO NOT SHARE makeup with anyone else. Everyone should have their own. Keep makeup in a bag inside your bin.

Girls: Remember, in order to be seen from stage, makeup needs to be heavier than you would wear for every day. Keep colors neutral (browns, pinks, peach, etc… no blue eye shadow or bright red lipstick.) Eyeliner, eye shadow, blush, mascara, and lips.  Fairies can have colored eye shadow to match costume. Indians will have some extra face paint added after they finish their makeup.

Hairstyles:

Indians (including Braves and Tiger Lily): Hair should be in braids. You can keep it simple in two braids or get creative.

Pirates (including Smee): Hair can be any style, as long as it is off your face. No braids.

Mermaids: Hair down, curly, pulled off of your face.

Fairies (including Tinker Bell): Hair pulled up high in sock bun.

Lost boys (girls): Hair pulled back in ponytail, bun, etc... (whatever will work with your costume)

Wendy, Peter, John, Hook: See Ms. Sheehy if you have any questions.

Boys: Boys do need to wear makeup, however you only need to have blush and brown eyeliner. There will be people to help you out if you need it. Boy’s hair should be neat and out of your face (if long.)
